Plantation Duty Act is adopted by Parliament.

The law imposes a tax on goods shipped between the Colonies, and encourages that all goods to be shipped directly to England. Avoidance prmpts the smuggling of goods between the Colonies and an investigator to be sent to Boston in 1676.
